Are you an EFL / ESL teacher? What would you like to talk about on the forthcoming EFL Teacher Talk webcast? Would you like to hear special guests talking about particular subjects, or would you prefer to just have a loose, conversational show? Please let us know.

Somali Bantu
I Have worked with Bantu students last year. They comprised 80% of my second grade class. Does anyone else have a large population of Somali Bantu? I'd love to chat about different ideas to help in working with this population. thanks ECUDAN

Hi Ecudan
I'm hoping you'll find someone to help you here. Could you tell us what kind of things you are hoping to do with your students? I'm sure this will help people with ideas.

particular subjects for every week
hi, Graham, many thanks for this website. i am very interested in it. My suggestion is that it may be better to talk about particular subjects, or just for loose topic, sometimes it may be difficult to carry on. annyia

Good idea
A very good idea, Annyia. In fact every week we've had a topic, but usually we end up talking about anything and everything! One suggestion I've had is that I compile a list of discussion topics for every show, and also post questions in advance so participants can think about them beforehand. I think this is a very good idea, and will start to do it soon.

Teacher Talk
Hi, Graham, and thank you again for another chance to meet and share! I meant to join your talk today..., and wanted to log in at 3 pm my local time (GMT -3) but then realized it had been at 3 am... Shame, really! I love the topic on 'Festivals, holidays and travel', and learning about different cultures. Anyway, we could talk about this in a forum, if there are more members interested. As to your question on our preferences, both options can be enriching, we could alternate between them...;-) All my best wishes, and a hug from Argentina, Rita

Time
Hi Rita. Time is a very big problem for LATINOS: 6 GMT means 2AM in Venezuela. I want to practice my English, but it´s difficult to leave the bed at that time. I didn´t see you today at TI. Warm hugs, Horacio

Thanks Rita
Thanks Rita - I'm afraid the Sunday morning time is the best time for me, but we've been holding webcasts at 15.00 GMT on Wednesdays too now. Maybe this is a better time?
